Wheelie Bin Road Safety Initiative
For over 23 years, GK Creative has been working alongside local government to produce and distribute the highly recognisable 'Please Slow Down Consider Our Kids' wheelie-bin road safety initiative.
During that time, over 300,000 stickers have been distributed throughout more than 70 councils across Western Australia, Tasmania and South Australia.
The initiative has been recognised nationally at the Australian Road Safety Awards - achieving 'Finalist' status in 2017 and 2018 and Trophy winner in 2017.
Both years also brought recognition at the Western Australian Regional Achievement and Community Awards, with Nominee status in 2017 and Semi-Finalist status in 2018.
The stickers have become a cost-effective and visible method for local governments to engage with their communities on the issue of road safety.
The bin stickers can be fully 'branded' with council and grant-funding body logos.
This becomes a visible method of showing council support for road safety in the community.
Distribution of the stickers also provides an opportunity for councils to obtain media coverage - further highlighting council efforts and drawing community attention to the need for adherence to road safety regulations.

We have utilised the same printer for over 16 years, and working with councils across the vast state of Western Australia, we have experience working with cool and hot climatic conditions.
The bin stickers are produced with long-life vinyl, utilising UV-stable ink.
Our pricing includes GST, logo placement and reworking if required, and delivery to your nominated depot or office - so there are no hidden costs.
Due to the high (and rising!) cost of vinyl, we do require minimum order quantities, however smaller requirements may also be accommodated - we are able to combine a number of orders into one larger print-run to optimise vinyl usage, thus keeping costs down.
Please also note that 'Consider Our Kids' and 'Slow Down Kids Around' are registered Australian trademarks, affording councils some degree of protection - no-one else is legally able to utilise this wording, and infringements that are discovered are always investigated.
